For nearly sixty years, Mobile Museum of Art has presented exhibitions, programs, and events that connect our community while teaching important lessons about the creative process.
Founded in 1964, MMofA has grown from a modest initiative of The Board of Commissioners of the City of Mobile and two private arts entities, the Allied Arts Council, and the Mobile Arts Association, to the only accredited art museum in southern Alabama.
In October 2024, Mobile Museum of Art will celebrate its 60th birthday. To celebrate their milestone birthday, they’re planning some groovy exhibitions, programs, and events. To kick off the celebrations, a sixties-themed Birthday Bash on October 26, 2024!
