Next Up at ArtWalk
Come celebrate Cinema at LODA ArtWalk in Downtown Mobile from 6 to 9 p.m. on September 13th!
Join us at Cathedral Square for an evening celebrating the art of film. Enjoy watching the 1942 Oscar-winning classic, “Casablanca”, under the stars. This month’s Cathedral Square and Kids Zone activations are made possible by City of Mobile Parks & Recreation. Don’t miss out on photo ops, face painting, and a night of FREE creative fun for all ages!
We will post special content on the LoDa ArtWalk Facebook page throughout the month for updates from participating venues.
The in-person ArtWalk will take place downtown from 6 to 9 p.m. Select restaurants and retailers will have sidewalk sales and expanded outdoor seating available, and galleries will be open for extended hours.
We encourage all attendees to consider purchasing artwork from a local creative or donating to an arts organization that they would typically support at this time. Let’s stay #MobileStrong and #SupportTheArts

LoDa ArtWalk Performers
There is now an official Performance Zone, located at the corner of Dauphin St. and Hamilton St., which will feature area performing arts groups of all kinds each month! Performances will be held hourly, beginning at 6 p.m. This will allow for three different performance groups to showcase their work each month at 6, 7, and 8 p.m. Application forms must be submitted three weeks in advance to be considered eligible for that ArtWalk, and slots are filled in at a first come, first served basis. All artists/groups are responsible for their own sound, lighting, and any other necessary equipment for their performance. Apply to be a featured performing arts group below!
Nonprofit Zone
The City of Mobile Parks & Recreation Department manages the Nonprofit Zone, located on Claiborne Street between Dauphin and Conti. Area nonprofits can apply to showcase their causes or upcoming events month-to-month. Apply to participate on their website below!
2nd Friday Street Closures
The streets on the perimeter of Bienville Square are closed through October 2022 for Roll Mobile starting at or just before 6 p.m., including Conception, Dauphin, St. Joseph, and St. Francis Streets surrounding Bienville park and ending at the nearest open intersection.
Dauphin Street is closed from traffic by 6 p.m. starting at Dearborn Street and ending before the intersection at Royal Street. Most intersections along this section of Dauphin Street still remain open for traffic to pass through. If passing through, please use caution as there are hundreds of pedestrians.
Dauphin Street between Hamilton and Jackson Streets is closed to traffic starting at 4 p.m. All cars parked within this area are blocking the LoDa Night Market spaces and will be towed if not moved by 4 p.m. Large signage is posted before each ArtWalk day stating this and is clearly visible from the two hour parking spaces.
Joachim Street between Dauphin and Conti is temporarily closed to traffic during each ArtWalk (6 to 9 p.m.) due to construction blocking off the sidewalks.
