March Artist Member of the Month

Congratulations to our March Artist Member of the Month, Lyza Woods!

Lyza is a self-taught abstract artist and photographer based in Mobile, Al. She loves to travel and is inspired by the natural world when creating her art. Primarily working in acrylic and oil, she also dabbles in collage and wire wrapping.

When speaking of her photography, Lyza says she aims “to capture life, from fungus and moss to landscapes and beautiful people. I prefer to document moments, not just take pictures.”

Along with her personal efforts in visual art, Lyza has been interning with Mobile Arts Council since the start of the year. She has been a wonderful addition to the MAC staff, welcoming visitors to our gallery on a daily basis.
