December Member of the Month: Central Arts Collective

Established in 2017 to fill the need for affordable studio spaces for local artists, Central Arts Collective is a group of about 20 individual working artists who strive to craft community through service and arts cultivation in Mobile. Each artist occupies a studio space within the same building of Central Presbyterian Church located at 1260 Dauphin Street in Midtown Mobile. Artists within the Collective work with several different mediums, including ceramics, quilting, graphic design, jewelry making, painting, photography, wood burning, and more.

CAC hosts many events throughout the year, both individually and as a group. Currently, they are busy with preparations for their upcoming Holiday Market and Studio Open House happening on Saturday, December 3rd, from 10am-4pm. Many of the artists in residence will have their studios open for visitors, with special holiday art sales. There will also be other local artists vendors in attendance, as well as a visit from Santa! If you are interested in gifting yourself or your loved ones with a unique piece of local art this holiday season, don’t miss this event!
