Elianna has been crocheting since childhood alongside her Nana, who had at that time had suffered from a stroke. Her physical therapist recommended crochet to build up her dexterity and fine motor skills. Although she was not keen on crochet and quit out of frustration two weeks into the journey, Elianna seemed to have a natural knack for the medium and has continued to practice this art over the last decade. Brought to you by Alabama Folklife Association and Mobile Arts Council, we will be hosting this workshop at the MAC Gallery @ Room 1927 June 9 & 11 from 1pm-3pm.
