The fight for Mobile’s best taco is BACK! Taco Takedown 2020 will take place in Cathedral Square on Sunday, April 5th, 2020. Come enjoy tacos from up to 12 of your favorite area restaurants, kids crafts, live music, frozen treats, margaritas, and more - all while supporting your local arts community.

Tickets are limited, so buy them quick! Early bird admission is only $15, and includes 3 tacos and an afternoon of entertainment. Additional tacos will be available for $4 each at the event. Children 10 and under are free, but their admission does not include tacos. General admission goes up to $25 at the door, if tickets don't sell out! Get tickets online here today!

Want your business to take part in this awesome event? Sponsorship packages are still available! Send us a message or email amontgomery@mobilearts.org for full details. All proceeds from this event will go towards the Mobile Arts Council’s Community Arts Grants Program, which creates opportunities for growth among artists and nonprofit arts organizations throughout the greater Mobile area.

See photos below from the first annual Taco Takedown included local favorites: Von's Bistro, Roosters, Fuego, Nourish Café, Rock 'N Roll Sushi, Taco Mama, La Cocina, and P.S. Taco Company. Prizes were awarded for People's Choice and 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Awards were created by local artist, Lucy Gafford.

We couldn't have made Mobile's first taco competition happen without the support from our media partner, Mighty, and community partner, Hargrove Engineers + Constructors and The Hargrove Foundation! We also want to thank T.S. Wall & Sons, Inc., the Law Office of John M. Teague, P.C., Container Yard, and DS Services for their sponsorship.
