Taco Takedown

Taco2020

Raising money for arts grants…through tacos!

TACO TAKEDOWN IS CANCELED FOR 2022. Please consider joining us for our Spring Fling Paint Party on May 28th and May 29th!

Due to current information regarding the potential spreading of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19), and to circumstances beyond our control, Taco Takedown 2020 will be postponed from April 5th to a later date this year (TBD). The health and safety of the community, guests, event patrons, volunteers, and staff are our top priority. Thank you for your support and for understanding our concerns.

Those who have purchased tickets or registered to compete in this event will receive a refund in the upcoming weeks.

Taco Takedown 2020 will feature up to 12 of your favorite area restaurants, kids crafts, live music, frozen treats, margaritas, and more – all while supporting your local arts community. Stay tuned for updates on this year’s event!

See photos below from the first annual Taco Takedown included local favorites: Von’s Bistro, Roosters, Fuego, Nourish Café, Rock ‘N Roll Sushi, Taco Mama, La Cocina, and P.S. Taco Company. Prizes were awarded for People’s Choice and 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Awards were created by local artist, Lucy Gafford.

We couldn’t have made Mobile’s first taco competition happen without the support from our media partner, Mighty, and community partner, Hargrove Engineers + Constructors and The Hargrove Foundation! We also want to thank T.S. Wall & Sons, Inc., the Law Office of John M. Teague, P.C., Container Yard, and DS Services for their sponsorship.
