The Clotilda Descendants Association is combining their two largest annual events – the Spirit of Our Ancestors Festival and Landing Event – into one signature, multi-day event in July, the Landing Event and Ancestors Festival (LEAF).

The Clotilda Descendants Association invites you to commemorate a powerful legacy at the 2025 Landing Event & Ancestor Festival, celebrating the 165th Anniversary of the Clotilda landing. This vibrant, multi-day festival will take place Thursday, July 3 through Sunday, July 6 and will honor the descendants and stories of the last known slave ship to arrive in the United States.

Thursday, July 3
1 – 4 p.m.: LEAF Kick-off Meet & Greet, Africatown Heritage House
6 – 9 p.m.: LEAF Cocktail Party, Kazoola

Friday, July 4
11 a.m. – 3 p.m.: LEAF Ancestor Festival, Mobile County Training School and Hope Center (weather permitting)
6 p.m.: LEAF “Protect Truth Summit: History and Journalism in American Democracy,” The Admiral Hotel

Saturday, July 5
8 a.m.: The Landing Ceremony, under the Africatown Bridge
11 a.m.: LEAF Brunch Cruise o the Perdido Queen

Sunday, July 6
10:45 a.m.: Closing Worship Service with the descendants
