The Baldwin Pops Band will present their annual John Allen Memorial Scholarship concert. Six students from Bayside Academy, Fairhope High School, Robertsdale High School, and Spanish Fort High School are performing with the band. Conductor Jason Rinehart will lead the band in a program which includes Carmina Burana by Carl Orff, Flourish for Wind Band by Ralph Vaughan Williams, Irish Tune from County Derry by Percy Grainger, Joy by Frank Tichelli, The Vanished Army by Kenneth J. Alford, and more.
This concert is sponsored by the City of Orange Beach. In addition, the Baldwin Pops Band is sponsored by a grant from the Alabama State Council on the Arts. Donations for the John Allen Scholarship will be accepted at the concert or by mailing to Baldwin Pops Band, P.O.Box 38, Fairhope, AL 36533.
