Stewart Heath Gallery, the first commercial art gallery located at the Eastern Shore Centre in Spanish Fort, has its Grand Opening on Thursday, December 6th at 6:00PM.
The opening exhibit will highlight the works of seven Contemporary Modern artists. Handpicked by Heath, local featured artists include Lisa Warren, whose representational oil paintings look so life like, the flowers seem as though they will leap off of the canvas. Art SeaLab Festival First Place Winner, Kellie Jane, who brings ordinary things to life through repurposed glass, found objects and resin. Amy Bolt is a painter and potter whose work has been showcased in Time Square at the “2012 Art Takes Time Square” event. Also, Mobile native potter and the brilliant mind behind PlanetSally, Sally Adams Trufant creates amazing, unique botanical-pressed vases and bowls. Academy of Fine Art of Vienna trained painter, Barbara Kuebel, whose works are inspired by groups and group behaviors. Seasoned artist for over twenty years, Stewart Heath is a contemporary abstract painter, using acrylic and mixed media, whose work has a richly diversified subject matter, and often referred to as “other worldly.”
In addition, the gallery will feature two artists from outside of the Gulf Coast. MB Layers incorporates the beauty of her South American travels through acrylics and the rare technique of giclee. Kim Richard, California native sends her beautiful Mandala pointillism creations to be featured in the gallery.
And for the Grand Opening, Lisa Warren, Kellie Jane, Amy Bolt, Sally Adams Trufant, Barbara Kuebel, MB Layers, and Stewart Heath will be available to discuss their works on display at Stewart Heath Gallery.
All pieces at the gallery will be available for purchase at the Grand Opening on December 6th. In addition, a piece of Stewart Heath’s art will be raffled off to one lucky attendee (no ticket purchase required). All art featured at the Grand Opening will be available for purchase through February 2019. The exhibition is curated by Stewart Heath with the assistance of Andrea Walker, Owner of Divine Moxie Marketing.
