Intro to kiln-worked glass: Monday June 25 and Tuesday June 26 from 12:30 to 4:30, Tuesday July 3, 12:30 to 2:30. $200.00
Learn about this contemporary method of working artistically with Glass. It‘s easy and fun, but there are some technical considerations… Investigate the science of Glass, so successes can be duplicated; what works (or not) to produce perfect projects. Glass will be thermoformed in the kilns at the studio, by Culler, and firing schedules will be provided. All supplies and tool use are included except for your purchase of a required quality glass-cutter that can be ordered by you on-line. Students will make tests that illustrate many kiln-working possibilities that include fusing, slumping, and high-fire vitreous (glass) painting: leading to a path of lyrical art-making! Three 10 x 10 inch projects will be produced.
