Chris “Champ” Napier was raised in Prichard, Alabama, where as a young boy, witnessed his father’s murder. Through the years Chris found himself expelled from school, becoming a drug dealer and eventually killing a man who tried to rip him off. In prison, facing a life without freedom, he found hope in the Muslim religion. He repented, became a model prisoner and was finally released from the prison system after fourteen years and eight months.
Redemption Beyond My Past takes the viewer on the downward spiral of Champ’s life of poverty and drugs, and back up on the other side of redemption. Come see the film and meet the man as he talks about his mission to inspire at risks youth of today and lead them to a path that turns their lives around for good.
