Guest artist oboist Rebecca Mindock and USA piano faculty Doreen Lee will present the first concert on USA’s 2021-2022 Musical Arts Series on Thursday, August 19th at 7:30pm in the Laidlaw Performing Arts Center. This program will feature an array of contemporary works for oboe and piano including brin solomon’s “all the days of your vain life,” Ruth Gipps’s Oboe Sonata No. 2, and Ulysses Kay’s Suite in B Minor. Rounding out the performance is Joshua Burel’s “Under the Peddlar’s Moon” for unaccompanied oboe and Ingrid Stölzel’s “There Are Things to Be Said” for flute, oboe, and piano, for which they will be joined by USA flute faculty, Andra Bohnet.

Tickets for this Musical Arts Series event will be sold at the door only. Admission is $8 general and $5 for USA faculty & staff, USA students, youths under 18 and all senior citizens (cash or check only). Musical Arts Series season passes will of course be honored for admission to this event.
