In partnership with the African American Genealogical & Historical Society of Mobile, the Mobile Public Library is hosting another session of African American Genealogy workshops.  The free genealogy workshop will be in the Armbrecht/Briskman Meeting Room at the Ben May Main Library. The workshop will guide the participants through the difficulties specific to slave ancestral research.  Please bring your genealogical research with you and learn how to overcome this brick wall. A light lunch will be provided. Registration is required. For more information or to register, please call 251-494-2172 or email etheris@mplonline.org.

The facilitator for the workshop is professional genealogist, Mary Jones-Fitts, President/Director of the Marengo County History & Archives Museum.
