Come meet Penny Musco, a freelance writer whose work has appeared in a variety of publications, including AARP, Family Circle, Costco Connection, and several AAA publications.

Penny penned Life Lessons from the National Parks: Meeting God in America’s Most Glorious Places for the Park Service’s 2016 Centennial. Many intriguing facts and stories she’s discovered during her travels didn’t make it into the book, so she put together an hour-long program called “Fascinating Stories from Our National Parks” to share more of them. Books will be available for sale. For more information, please call 340-1458 or email mainref@mplonline.org.

Penny Musco has a B.A. in Theatre, and worked in radio for many years. She loves to vacation in and write about our national parks. In 2009 she was an Artist in Residence for the National Park Service, during which time she wrote and performed a one-woman show.

This program is in partnership with Common Read/Common World, USA’s Common Read Experience. For more information, please go to www.southalabama.edu/departments/commonread/.
