Mobile Medical Museum: 2024 Mobile Community Health Leadership Awards

The Museum presents awards annually to local leaders in education, awareness and action around Mobile’s most urgent community health issues. Come to the reception to hear more about their outstanding work!Outstanding local leaders in community health will be presented with awards handcrafted by local artist and Mobile Medical Museum Board President April Livingston. They will be presented at an outdoor reception on the grounds of the Mobile Medical Museum, near the main entrance to the University of South Alabama Children’s and Women’s Hospital. A brunch menu will be prepared by local caterer and former MCHLA awardee Stephanie Houston.

The fifth annual Mobile Community Health Leadership Awards is a fundraising event benefiting the Mobile Medical Museum, a privately operated and supported 501(c)(3) organization that develops innovative and challenging educational programming about medical history for thousands of students, health professionals, tourists and lifelong learners every year.

The awards are handcrafted by local artist and Mobile Medical Museum Board President April Livingston. They will be presented at an outdoor brunch on the grounds of the Mobile Medical Museum, with catering provided by Stephanie Houston, a 2022 MCHLA awardee for her work at The Cookery Project. Tickets are priced at $35 per individual or $265 for a table of eight. A vintage 1948 ambulance from Newman’s Ambulance Services will be on display as a pop-up exhibition during the event, to celebrate the award for the company’s President, Kenny Newman.
