Students ages 5+ are invited to MMofA’s Saturday Studio Workshops for kids. On select Saturdays, join them in their education classrooms to explore materials, make connections, and create using a wide variety of artistic materials and processes.
Each Saturday offers students aged 5+ opportunities to explore art materials and processes in a variety of 2-hour workshops meant to be accessible for every learner. Each artist will guide participants through the concept to completion, taking home an original artwork inspired by museum collections.
March 7 – Gallery Colors: Saturday Watercolor Workshop for Kids | Session 1: 10am – 12pm
Cost: $40 – Members / $60 – Not-Yet Members
Artists age 8 and up will explore watercolor techniques while drawing inspiration from Walter Anderson’s artwork in the For Children exhibit in the museum. After a short guided visit, kids will return to the studio to create their own vibrant paintings, learning about color, texture, and expression along the way. A fun blend of looking, learning, and painting!
