This class is meant for art and color enthusiasts of all kinds, whether a beginner, intermediate or advanced artist, join artist and educator Kaitlyn Amanor through a 6-week course on Interacting with Color following with guidance a practical guide to experimenting with color using Josef Albers color experiments.

The first class session will tour the series of Josef Albers prints discussing and analyzing the science of color relationships seen in the prints on view and you will continue to the classroom to begin your first study in the relativity of color. Each week you’ll dive deeper into the following exercises on color, based off Albers’ book Interacting with Color by creating unique individual compositions out of paint chips or paper scraps:

Week 3: 1 Color Appears As 2
Week 4: Color Deception: After Images
Week 5: Illusion of Transparence
Week 6: Color Juxtaposition, Harmony and Quantity
