This class is for families to create together. Each month will feature a different art medium with a project tied to the MMofA collection. Parents are encouraged to stay and create with their families. Suitable for homeschool families. October’s theme is Galaxy in a Box – Inspired by the glow room!
Each family creates a miniature galaxy inside a shadow box or recycled cardboard box using a mix of painting, crafting, and glow-in-the-dark elements. They’ll design planets, stars, comets, and even alien life using different textures and materials. The project ends with a “blackout viewing” under UV or low lighting to reveal.
