Join Mobile Arts Council on March 14, 2026 from 9am-1pm at Spring Hill College’s Murphy Fine Arts Building for a hands-on Anthotype Photography Workshop with Wayne McNeil.
Anthotypes are a historic, non-toxic photographic process that uses natural pigments from flowers, and fruits to create images using sunlight. Through a process called photodegradation, these plant-based emulsions slowly reveal soft, organic prints.
Wayne will guide participants through the entire process, from preparing plant-based emulsions to exposing your prints outdoors. Whether you’re an artist, photographer, educator, or just creatively curious, this immersive experience is perfect for all levels.
You’ll leave with two finished anthotype prints and the knowledge to continue experimenting with this beautifully sustainable technique on your own.
Come get your hands a little messy and make something magical with us.
