Charlotte Pence, the inaugural Poet Laureate of Mobile, appeared in her first public engagement in this distinguished role on Friday, March 8th. Her debut unfolded through a captivating thirty-minute poetry reading at the LODA Artwalk. This event marks the beginning of a recurring monthly poetry segment, ingeniously curated by Pence for each second-Friday ArtWalk. She aims to showcase a rich tapestry of poetic voices, ensuring a vibrant and diverse literary representation. This will take place in the Performance Zone, adjacent to Hoffman’s Furniture, commencing at 6:30 p.m.
