Madame Octavia Walton LeVert is one of Mobile’s most famous citizens. On September 27th, 2018 Paula Webb will be sharing her extensive knowledge about this famous socialite.
Paula Lenor Webb, Outreach and Communications Librarian at University of South Alabama, Mobile, Alabama, obtained her MLIS from the University of Alabama. She has edited/co-edited the Mobile Genealogical Society publication’s, Mobile Mayor’s Court Reports: 1865 & Mobile Mayor’s Court Reports: 1864 and authored the History Press publication, Mobile Under Siege: Surviving the Union Blockade.
Paula is currently working on her next book, about the life of Madame Octavia Walton LeVert. Her research has revealed new and interested information about Octavia. Join Paula as she shares with the audience new and exciting discoveries about Octavia and the LeVert family during and after the Civil War.
