October’s Learning Lunch program will feature Director of Bellingrath Home, and columnist at Mobile Bay Magazine, Tom McGehee. He will deliver his presentation, Mobile’s Red Light District.

Since 1994, Tom McGehee has served as Director of the Bellingrath Home. He oversees the 15-room home and its collection of decorative arts and antiques. Since 1997, McGehee has been a regular lecturer for the Roads Scholar program (formerly Elder Hostel) hosted by the University of South Alabama, and has conducted walking tours of Mobile’s historic districts and Magnolia Cemetery.

He currently serves as the past president of the Rotary Club of Mobile and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Friends of Magnolia Cemetery, the Friends of the Alabama Governor’s Mansion, and the Friends of the History Museum of Mobile.

This presentation will be live, in-person in the Museum’s Auditorium. Face masks are required inside the museum.
