Inspired by Art: Hands-on creative writing in the galleries (Cochrane Gallery, Presenter: Kim Wood)
Participants will consider American paintings and sculptures from a historical and personal perspective to draw inspiration for a descriptive paragraph, a narrative paragraph and a short imaginative essay. This assignment may be used to enhance a variety of disciplines, while engaging each students individual view of the world
The Art of Monica J. Beasley: ‘Feminism and Magical Thinking’ Abstract Collages (APL Classroom, Presenter: Monica J. Beasley)
Well-known for her colorful, abstract collages, Monica J. Beasley will go behind the inspiration for her exhibition at MMofA and, using a variety of materials, help participants create their own abstract collages, illustrating how creating a collage tie in to any curriculum.
