The Historic Avenue Cultural Center is hosting its annual Block Party as a Community Healing Festival this year, in celebration of HACC’s two year anniversary with food, activities and pop-up programs to emphasize art, equity and healing.
Join them on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm for a free, family-friendly event celebrating wellness, creativity, and community. Hosted at the Historic Avenue Cultural Center at 564 Dr Martin L King Jr Ave, Mobile, AL 36603. This festival is made possible through partnership with ACAC (Alabama Contemporary Arts Center) and Society of Clotilda.
On the interior they will have speakers and community leaders. Outside experience a variety of activities, including a yoga session , sound baths hosted by India from Blendia by India, invocation by poet Kmarie and others, and a gardening and sustainability talk by Vivian’s Door on how to start your own home or window sill garden. Artist LeXander Bryant will be doing Cyanotype portraits working toward a larger community art project. Enjoy Southern comfort food catered by Mary’s Southern Cooking, roam the Health and Healing market offering local crafts, wellness services, and more, and move to live sounds provided by The Feels Foreal Company. This event honors Mobile’s rich cultural heritage and invites everyone to connect, learn, heal, and grow together. Admission is free and open to all ages.
