There is nothing normal about the events we are experiencing these days and over the past few weeks I have had a lot of time to consider just how important Distortion is to me.

An imperfect life can be a beautiful one as well, that is one reason I create the way I do. Distortion gives me the visual language to convey my fascination with what imperfection looks like, but paired with a deeply beautiful sense of worth and value.
At the end of the month I will be kicking off my next online course and will be changing it up a bit.

We will definitely dive in to Van Gogh and how he used subtle distortion as a way to express what he saw and felt.

I am extending it for 6 weeks.

It will be journal and prompt based and I will be adding and altering a lot of the course content to show you how I approach using distortion to create beautifully expressive characters.

We will build faces as well as paint them and there will be a lot of step out technical content such as HOW TO DISTORT THE FACIAL FEATURES.

An emphasis will be put on easy, fun, and relatable content so that this online course gives us a respite from the heaviness of what we are experiencing.

The course will still offer live instruction through Facebook secret groups, downloadable content, and an uplifting online group of amazing painters to engage with.
