Most of us have a mean voice that shows up in our heads when we dare to take a creative risk or try something new. “Oh,” it whispers. “That is not good, and no one is going to tell you. Aren’t you embarrassed?”
Many of us have spent years trying to fight against it, to no avail. Some of us have given in, letting it make our world safe and small.
In this workshop, we will try a different approach–looking at this small but powerful Inner Critic with compassionate curiosity. We will undertake creative exercises to help us explore a visual representation of our Inner Critics while also moving gently towards engaging from a place of understanding and even appreciation for its misguided attempts to keep us safe from harm.
Absolutely no experience is required.
