This October, the Eastern Shore Art Center will feature four exhibitions, described below. Find out additional information at  www.esartcenter.org. Gallery hours are 10 AM – 4 PM on weekdays and 10 AM – 2 PM on Saturdays.

“Boxes” – Paintings by Gulf ArtSpace. Artists include Lynn Yonge, Tameka Johnson, Kathrena Rivera, the late Fred Marchman and many more. Yonge says, “The works in this show will be diverse, polished and unpolished, unstructured and unedited. It should be interesting.”

“Jubilee” – Paintings by Judy Oxford. Oxford was featured in ESAC’s book “Painters in Paradise” and has received numerous awards for her work, including ESAC’s 2011 Members’ Juried Show “Best of Show”.

“Animal Art Safari” – Paws, claws, toes and tails were put to canvas by the animals of the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo – “The Little Zoo That Could” to create a one-of-a-kind artwork collection that will be on display and offered at auction on October 27, 2018. As a sneak peek of the zoo’s fundraiser, some of the artwork created by our furry friends will be on display at Art Walk!

“Farm to Gallery” – Paintings by Kellie Newsome, the artist. Growing up in the rural south, elements of farm life and nature run deep through Kellie Newsome’s past. In this exhibit, Kellie aspires to enhance and celebrate the quite, simple beauty of the flowers, fruits, and animals that make up so much of her visual memories.
