Eastern Shore Art Center Hosts First Friday Art Walk! Live music by Ted Donley, pianist. Limited capacity of 75 visitors indoors at a time and masks will be required.
NEW EXHIBIT: Members’ Juried Show. This annual exhibit showcases various work from the Artist Level members of the Eastern Shore Art Association. Artist Members were able to submit 3 original works done in any media. This year’s judge: Lucy Gafford, Mobile Arts Council Executive Director. Awards will be given during Art Walk night @ 6:30pm.
NEW EXHIBIT: “Mind of Marchman” Artwork by Fred Marchman. ESAC celebrates the life and work of Mobile Bay area’s most prolific artist. Vibrant abstracts and evocative thematical work allow visitors a glimpse of the late painter, sculptor, and illustrator.
RETURNING EXHIBIT: Nall Collection: Alabama Art featuring Charlie Lucas. Iconic and self-taught artist Lucas has been creating art since his childhood, but began creating art seriously after a debilitating accident in 1948. Working with cast-off materials, old tin, bicycle wheels, mufflers, wire and junk, he became known as Charlie “Tin Man” Lucas. His paintings and sculptures have been exhibited both nationally and internationally. This display is made possible by a generous gift artist Nall to the Eastern Shore Art Center in 2020 and all exhibiting work is for sale to benefit ESAC and Alabama Artists.
Free admission. Donations welcomed.
