Krista Tippett–host of the weekly public radio program and podcast On Being (heard locally on MPR), journalist, and bestselling author–will give a lecture on “The Adventure of Civility,” which will be followed by a reception and book signing. She will speak about how we as a community can create civil conversations to listen and speak across our differences to have a positive impact and how communities of faith can bring important wisdom to this contemporary challenge. Tippett received the National Humanities Medal at the White House in 2014 and has won prestigious awards for excellence in radio broadcasting. Her books include Speaking of Faith, Einstein’s God, and Becoming Wise. She is currently at work on a new book, Letters to a Young Citizen.
