We’re excited to announce the second annual Dauphin Island Native American Festival at 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2020, at Dauphin Island’s Fort Gaines Historic Site.

A celebration of the cultures that existed in the Alabama coastal region in the 1700s through the early 1800s, the festival will feature live storytelling and hands-on demonstrations of Native American foodways, recreational activities and arts and crafts. Tickets include both the Festival and a tour of Fort Gaines and are $6 for ages 5-12 and $12 for ages 13 and up.

Advance tickets can be purchased online at https://dauphinislandarts.networkforgood.com/events/18565-dauphin-island-native-american-festival, at Dauphin Island Gallery or at Fort Gaines. Tickets will also be on sale at Fort Gaines the day of the event. The Festival will be a fun and educational experience for the entire family!

This event is sponsored in part by a grant from the Alabama State Council on the Arts, Folk Life Division.
