Dauphin Island Heritage & Arts Council: Crochet Cottage

Join DIHAC for a welcoming three-session crochet class for all skill levels. Whether you’re brand new to crochet or looking to build confidence and refine your skills, this supportive environment makes learning fun and approachable.

Beginners will learn essential stitches and foundational techniques, while intermediate students will focus on reading patterns, fixing mistakes, and improving speed and consistency. Advanced crocheters are encouraged to bring their own projects and explore advanced stitches, amigurumi, colorwork, pattern design, and helpful digital tools.

Beginner supplies are included with the class fee, featuring a high-quality crochet hook and washable, worsted-weight yarn. Experienced students may bring their own materials or contact the instructor for a recommended supply list and discounted options.

Crochet Cottage is the perfect place to learn something new, overcome a challenge, or simply enjoy creating alongside others in a warm, inviting setting.
