Colonial Fort Conde is proud to present “The Battle of Fort Charlotte”! In recognition of the only battle from the American Revolution to occur in Mobile, we invite guests to partake in a unique living history event about the battle between Great Britain and Spain for control of Mobile.
On Sunday, June 1st, guests are invited to witness the actual battle told from the point of view of the British officers and soldiers inside Fort Charlotte. The reenactment by our own living history interpreters and other living history groups from the West Florida Militia and the 60th Royal Regiment will take place at 2:30 p.m. in the Fort Conde courtyard and will last around 45 minutes. Guests will be able to interact with the living history interpreters before and after the reenactment between 1:00 – 5:00pm.
As part of Free First Sunday, admission to the History Museum of Mobile, Colonial Fort Conde, and the reenactment is free. We would like to encourage guests to dress in colonial wear to truly immerse yourself in this experience!
