Come meet Noel Hanley, teacher and owner of Sway Downtown, yoga and dance studio. Discover the benefits of doing Yoga and how you can achieve balance in body, mind and soul.  


Noel Hanley is a native of Brandon, Mississippi and studied at the Mississippi Metropolitan Dance Academy and graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance, where she was a member of the Alabama Repertory Dance Theater for four years. After college, Noel danced professionally for two seasons with Alabama Ballet.


Noel began practicing yoga as a way to move and stretch when she stopped dancing professionally. She fell in love with the movement to breathe and the way she began to feel after practice. She is a Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance. She completed her 200-hour teacher training with Kindness Yoga in Denver, CO under Jen Hicks and Lindsay Gonzalez. She is also certified in Progressing Ballet Technique, an innovative program developed by Marie Walton-Mahon for students to understand the depth of training muscle memory in achieving their personal best in classical ballet.
