All students in grades 3 – 6 are invited to attend the 2019 Young Authors’ Conference. Listen to a panel of Alabama authors speak about their writing process and how they published their work. Featured authors will include adult author, Emily Blejwas, Once You Know This, and two children who are published authors, Callie Chapman from Birmingham and Conner Jones from Mobile.
Following the panel discussion, students will participate in writing workshops while parents attend a program on fostering the love of literacy at home, presented by local literacy coaches.
The Conference will conclude with a sharing session where students share their works created in the workshops. Light refreshments, book sales and author signings will be available at the close of the Conference.
