Join JAWS Fest for a night of timeless, acoustic jazz as the Chip Herrington Jazz 5 takes the stage!
Led by acclaimed trumpeter and Gulf Coast musical staple Chip Herrington, this ensemble brings the sophistication of traditional “lounge jazz” back to the forefront. Known for their rare, authentic acoustic sound, the Chip Herrington Jazz 5 features a group of seasoned professionals dedicated to delivering the high-caliber performances that jazz enthusiasts crave.
About the Band Leader: Chip Herrington is a pillar of the Mobile music scene. Best known as the trumpet player for the legendary “Hurricane Horns” (Wet Willie) and as the founder and band leader of The Mobile Big Band Society, Chip has shared the stage with icons including Aretha Franklin, Lou Rawls, and The Temptations. His latest musical project, the Jazz 5, represents a focused effort to bring real, unfiltered jazz to intimate settings.
