The History Museum of Mobile’s upcoming Learning Lunch Program is on Wednesday, June 10th at 12 PM and will feature Wayne Sirmon. The title of his presentation is The War Before the Declaration: From Lexington to Philadelphia, which will explore the 15 months between “the shot heard around the world” and “We hold these truths to be self-evident.” The 13 colonies were witness to combat, treason, invasions, preparations, and parades. We will follow the transformation of disorganized militias into 25,000 men under arms in the Continental Army.
