Join Mobile Arts Council at Spring Hill College for this one-day workshop designed for our young artists led by Ladarrell Bell and Wayne Curtis. LaDarrell is the first female member of The Excelsior Band and Wayne brings his knowledge and expertise from the Africatown Drummers organization. During this workshop participants will build their very own drum, learn the history behind the music and enjoy playing their handmade instruments.
May 1, 2026 9am – 12pm at Spring Hill College, Murphy Fine Arts Building.
