This beginner to advanced ceramics class will teach students to create using hand-building techniques. It will also teach them the nature of clay and how to use it as an art form. All skill levels are welcome and students can expect to make several different types of pieces using hand-building skills/tools: cups, bowls, vases, sculptural pieces and more will be demonstrated by your instructor. You will then be guided with attention to be creative using the skills you will learn from this class to make your own clay works of art. After firing your pieces students will learn how to glaze their clay works using a variety of methods: brushing, dipping, pouring, and spraying glaze to achieve finished one-of-a-kind ceramics from functional to funky.
