This workshop will help one become more independent in the studio. You will better understand how to develop your own glaze palette
or use those of which you have access. You will develop a practical, working knowledge of glaze formulation. In the workshop you will discuss the different types of glazes at cone 5 & 10, such as matte, satin and glossy. What makes a glaze opaque, transparent or blue? You will discover how glazes affect one another when overlapped or used with stains and washes over or under them. These exercises alone will create many new possibilities for your work and will help to make your work unique.
