AM Session – Art and the Power of Journaling – 9am -12pm
Let’s get our thoughts out of our heads and combine them with sketches, doodles, drawings, paintings, illustrated maps, and finding objects. In this class, students will be introduced to a variety of journals, such as “Nature Journaling” or “The Book of Lists,” and choose one journal for the duration of the class. They will learn to focus on the process and not the product, and acknowledge that works of art add to the validity of their written expression. Some of the creations will stay personal, while others will be shared. This is a low-pressure creative outlet that creates a habit of noticing what’s around us, helps organize our lives, and benefits our well-being.
