Mobile Museum of Art: Saturday Workshop, Youth

Students ages 5+ are invited to MMoA’s Saturday Studio Workshops for kids. On select Saturdays, join them in their education classrooms to explore materials, make connections, and create using a wide variety of artistic materials and processes.

Each Saturday offers students aged 5+ opportunities to explore art materials and processes in a variety of 2-hour workshops meant to be accessible for every learner. Each artist will guide participants through the concept to completion, taking home an original artwork inspired by museum collections.

March 14 – Kids Hand-Building with Clay: Animal Fun! | Session 2: 12pm – 2pm 
Cost: $30 – Members / $40 – Not-Yet Members 

Students will be drawing from the Asian gallery as well as Fantastical Forest for inspiration, as they examine the ceramic horses and other animals in the galleries. Then will return to the studio space, and utilize hand-building techniques such as coiling, slab building, and pinching to construct their animals of choice.
