Students ages 5+ are invited to MMofA’s Saturday Studio Workshops for kids. On select Saturdays, join them in their education classrooms to explore materials, make connections, and create using a wide variety of artistic materials and processes.
Each Saturday offers students aged 5+ opportunities to explore art materials and processes in a variety of 2-hour workshops meant to be accessible for every learner. Each artist will guide participants through the concept to completion, taking home an original artwork inspired by museum collections.
February 7 – See & Imagine: Saturday Drawing Workshop for Kids | Session 1: 10am – 12pm
Cost: $40 – Members / $60 – Not-Yet Members
In this creative workshop, kids will sharpen their drawing skills by observing real objects—and then reimagining them in fun, unexpected ways! Through guided exercises, they’ll explore line, shape, and storytelling while blending observation with imagination. Perfect for young artists who love to look closely and dream big!
February 7 – Paint the Gallery: Kids’ Saturday Afternoon Workshop | Session 2: 12 – 2pm
Cost: $40 – Members / $60 – Not-Yet Members
In this colorful workshop, kids will explore the museum galleries for inspiration, then head to the studio to create their own paintings! Using a variety of materials and techniques, young artists will express what they see – and imagine – through vibrant, hands-on artmaking. A fun way to connect with art and creativity!
