Students ages 5+ are invited to MMofA’s Saturday Studio Workshops for kids. On select Saturdays, join them in their education classrooms to explore materials, make connections, and create using a wide variety of artistic materials and processes.
Each Saturday offers students aged 5+ opportunities to explore art materials and processes in a variety of 2-hour workshops meant to be accessible for every learner. Each artist will guide participants through the concept to completion, taking home an original artwork inspired by museum collections.
January 3 – Wooden Scrap Sculptures: Saturday Kids’ Workshop | Session 1: 10am – 12pm
Cost: $40 – Members / $60 – Not-Yet Members
Kids will turn everyday wooden scraps into imaginative sculptures in this hands-on Saturday workshop! Using glue, nails, and lots of creativity, young artists will explore shape, balance, and
design while building their own unique 3D creations. All materials provided—just bring your imagination!
January 3 – Sat Youth PM WS: Build Your Own City Mixed Media Collage | Session 2: 12 – 2pm
Cost: $40 – Members / $60 – Not-Yet Members
In this imaginative Saturday afternoon workshop, kids will design and build their own dream cities using mixed media collage! From colorful buildings to parks, roads, and wild inventions, young artists will layer paper, fabric, and found materials to bring their cityscapes to life. A playful way to explore design, storytelling, and creativity!
