Presenting “An Evening With The Queen of Gospel” Pastor Shirley Caesar! Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 7 p.m. at the Saenger Theater. The legendary Pastor Shirley Caesar has been singing gospel since the age of 12. She has won eleven Grammy Awards, fifteen Dove Awards, and fourteen Stellar Awards. Caesar has often been referred to as the “First Lady of Gospel.” She is also one of the top-selling gospel artists. The Saenger Theatre is honored to welcome this legend to Mobile!
Mobile’s own Yvonne Matthews will also be featured, performing some familiar favorites and some new music. The night will be opened by Mobile’s Kenneth Brandon, featuring Dunamis and the Gospel Ensemble of The University of Mobile.
