Join MMofA in the studio on select Saturdays to explore materials, make connections, and create using a wide variety of artistic materials and processes. Each Saturday offers students aged 16+ opportunities to explore art materials and processes in a variety of 4-hour workshops meant to be accessible if you are a beginner, as well as offer ample time for growth if you’re not so new to the process. Each artist will guide participants through the concept to completion, taking home an original artwork inspired by museum collections.
In July’s Saturday Workshop, Students will learn from local artist Carol Wiggins about the history and origins of Asian Brush Painting. Learn the basic strokes and tools needed to create and complete a painting on rice paper.
