Jennifer Croft, International Booker-Prize-winning translator and novelist, will read from and discuss her work on Thursday, April 10 at 5:00 pm in the Student Center Terrace Room on campus. This free, public event will feature a reception and book signing at its conclusion.
Croft’s debut novel The Extinction of Irena Rey (Bloomsbury) unravels the story of eight translators and their search for a world-renowned author who goes missing in a primeval Polish forest, and has been called “incredibly strange, savvy, sly and hard to classify.” It earned her a Guggenheim Fellowship and was named an Editors’ Choice by The New York Times. In 2023, Croft received an American Academy of Arts and Letters Award in Literature. She lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma with her husband and twins.
