After dedicating 27 years to serving justice, Mike’s retirement brought an unexpected twist – a newfound passion for music and poetry that has since captured hearts worldwide.

With over 350 songs to his name, recognition as the Male Gospel Entertainer of the Year, and appearances on global stages, including the US Armed Forces Radio Network, Mike’s artistry is a testament to the power of transformation and passion.

His poetic works are equally impressive, with more than 320 poems published in esteemed literary journals and book anthologies. His poignant words have earned him accolades such as the Alabama Writing Cooperative’s 2023 Roger Williams Peace Prize for Writing, solidifying his status as a compelling voice in contemporary literature.
