With a B.F.A. in Painting and Sculpture from Appalachian State University, and years of study in pre-medicine, Biology, Painting, and Art History at the University of Alabama, Harlan’s multidisciplinary background shapes her unique artistic voice. Now, as a full-time artist, Harlan resides in her studio at Central Arts Collective, where she continues her work while contributing to the community. From feeding those in need at the Love All Food Pantry to supporting local organizations like Family Promise and Azalea City Montessori, Harlan’s artistic practice is closely intertwined with her commitment to service.
