Artys Nominations Now Open

The Artys, held last year on January 18, 2018, drew a record crowd with the surprise performances by local artists.

It’s that time again – the nominations are now open for the Artys, Mobile’s only awards event that recognizes contributions to the local arts community.

Anyone can submit a nomination online at
https://mobilearts.org/programs/theartysnominations/. You do not need to be a member and you can nominate more than one individual, business, or organization. The nomination period will be open until Wednesday, January 16th.

The Artys, formerly the Greater Mobile Arts Awards, recognizes the impact individuals, businesses, and organizations make to the local arts and cultural community. Awards are given out in 11 categories: Art Educator, Art Soldier, Business, Cultural Innovation, Design, Lifetime Achievement, Literary Artist, Organization, Patron, Performing Artist, and Visual Artist.

A winner for each category will be announced prior to the event and honored with a special awards show on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at 6 p.m. at The Steeple on St. Francis. Attendees will enjoy food, drink, and performances by local arts organizations.
