Your little stars will enjoy learning ballet, tap, adn tumbling with lots of fun, music, and costumes. Students will have a brief performance for Families on Friday at 11:30am

Each two-week camp ends with a full-length play. All campers have lines, costumes, get to help with set painting, play games, and learn about acting and singing!
Not only do we prepare for the show but we have fun playing water games, doing crazy hair day, learning about acting, and painting sets!

Drawing in Colored Inks offers the botanical art student the opportunity to discover the beauty of working with colored inks. Students will first be introduced to the classical tradition of working with sepia ink. Slowly migrating to the use of additional colored inks to realize a new and a fresh dimension in their work. For centuries classic botanical art has relied on pen and black ink to bring forth and reveal the rich botanical beauty and detail of plant species. With the availability of the new concentrated pigmented inks color adds a whole new ingredient to the presentation of plant drawings. Students will discover a whole new way of depicting color in plants to give your work added impact and vitality.

At this camp students will learn and improve their technique in: Jazz, Tricks, Turns and Leaps, Tap, and Choreography. There will be a brief performance for families on Friday at 5:00pm

“WILLY WONKA – THE MUSICAL" Join us for The Playhouse in the Park’s production of "Willy Wonka – The Musical,” based on the classic 1964 book by Roald Dahl. The stage musical follows Charlie Bucket's adventures inside the famed Wonka Chocolate Factory. Owned by eccentric candy maker Willy Wonka, the factory tour is open to only the five lucky children (and their guardians) who find an elusive golden ticket. Show dates for “Willy Wonka – The Musical” are be Friday through Sunday, July 21 through August 13, 2017. Tickets are Fridays & Saturdays 7:30 p.m. and Sunday Matinees at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $16 for adults and $14 for students and seniors. For reservations, call 251-602-0630. Art Blast Summer Art Camp registration is now open! With classes for 4-7 year olds, 8-11 year olds and 12 and up, there is truly something for everyone in the wide variety of art offered throughout the summer. Ceramics, painting, and drawing in all styles inspire students to energize their creativity, while learning about elements of art and art history. The camp will run from June 12th through July 28th.

This month, MAC will feature "Inner Transcendence," a new watercolor series by Lisa Hancock, in the Danielle Juzan Gallery; automotive photography by Kathleen Cope in the Skinny Gallery; and animal paintings and prints by Eliza Coral in the Small Room. Meet the artists during ArtWalk on Friday, July 14 (6 - 9 PM). Exhibition open weekdays from 9 AM - 5 PM throughout July.
